Greetings fellow vapers, and welcome to this week’s guide of local vape shops! Today, we’ll be traveling through the northern provinces of Canada, in search of the top two vape shops in five provinces. Canada is an incredible country, and aside from the beautiful scenery and the world-renowned maple syrup, Canada has some pretty badass vape shops, frequented by some incredible residents that add warmth and vibrancy to the cloud-chasing world. I had the pleasure of visiting 10 vape shops, two per province, and I’m super excited to share my experiences with you. So without further ado, let’s check out these vape shops!
1. Vap Quebec Cafe
First up in my vape shops through Canada, I stopped in Quebec. Aside from being a predominantly French-speaking province, it has deep European roots that show up in Quebec’s architecture, culture, and cuisine. Quebec also hosts something called the Winter Carnival, featuring breathtaking ice sculptures, skiing, and a spectacular ice castle. After I had finished marveling over the city, I stopped in at a French vape shop called Vap Quebec Cafe. Google rates this shop a 4.7 out of just over 25 reviews. While the reviews were a bit sparse, I have fond memories from the last coffee vape shop I visited, so I was curious to see how this one compares. The outside of the shop was sharp and clean, with calming wood, grey, and black tones. The inside of the shop was just as warm and inviting as the outside, looking just like a rustic lodge (and they even had a fireplace!) with the overlaid wood on the walls, light wood grain floors, and wooden counters. Immediately to the left of the entrance, there are two tall glass cases, filled with various hardware from Smok, Aspire, and Wismec. Replacement atomizers, batteries, pen-style mods, tanks and box mods, and other various hardware were easily seen through the glass and ready to be sold to the needy vaper at a moment’s notice. There were numerous bar stools and plush chairs scattered throughout the shop, inviting coffee drinkers and vapers alike to relax after they had completed their purchases. There was a quaint yet modern coffeehouse setup in the center of the shop, complete with an espresso machine, coffee maker, and a blackboard with various beverages available. There were coffee mugs for sale as well, for those coffee drinkers who wanted to show their support. But the e-juice was really what caught my attention. There was a huge display rack of e-liquids, ranging from calming menthol flavors to warm dessert flavors that paired well with their coffee. They sold both housemade and brand name e-liquids, with a full table of sample tanks ready for eager vapers to try before they buy. The shop was very clean and well-organized, with the coffee section clearly identifiable, and the vape section more towards the front of the shop. The staff was kind and friendly, and I had to brush up on my high school French to converse with them, but the entire atmosphere was very pleasant and enjoyable. If you have the chance to stop in at this shop just for the experience alone of a coffee and vape shop, I highly recommend it!
2. Distinction Vape Quebec
My second shop in the magnificent province of Quebec was Distinction Vape Quebec. Google rates this shop a 4.9 out of over 150 reviews. Shops with a high rating and a high number of reviews always catch my interest, so I headed over to see what this vape shop had to offer. The outside was a little plain, nothing crazy or immediately eye-catching, although the name did say “distinction”, there really wasn’t much to distinguish this from the many other vape shops I’ve been to. But I’ve learned not to judge the outside before seeing the wares and people on the inside. When I walked through the doors, I noticed the large stone and glass display case that housed all of the hardware. Heavy hitters like Wismec, Aspire, and Smok were readily available, including the popular Smok atomizers and TFV8 Cloud Beast tank. Two e-liquid shelves took up space on two of the walls, showcasing brands like Dinner Lady and Naked 100, along with many other unfamiliar brands that lined the shelves. The staff though is really what set this place apart and gave them their high ratings. From the moment I walked in the door until the moment I was ready to leave, the staff attended to my every need. I asked what their most popular flavors were and asked advice on what was the newest products from Smok. I walked out with a brand new Morph 219 Smok setup that I wasn’t even available to get online! They offered to help me set it up and prep it, but since I’m already familiar with Smok setups, I wasn’t in need of their services. The degree of courtesy and professionalism is what distinctively sets this shop apart, and aside from having a wide selection of products, the prices are decent as well. One thing I’ve never seen before is that this shop offered courtesy vapes while the owner’s vape was repaired or reassembled, much like courtesy vehicles when you go to a dealership/repair shop. I was very happy to have stopped in this shop, and while I would have loved to explore more of Quebec’s vape shops, my time in this particular province was through.
Next in my trek through Canada, I headed to Alberta to see how the vape shops were there. Alberta is the moneymaker in Canada, providing the largest oil reserve in the entire country and third largest in the world. Alberta also thrives in the natural gas and coal industry, offering fuel reserves throughout the country. With such a vast amount of energy resources, this was an interesting place to visit, and I wasted no time hunting down the top two vape shops in this province.
3. Foggy Gorilla Vape Shop
My first vape shop in Alberta was Foggy Gorilla Vape Shop. Google rates them a 4.6 out of 225 reviews. I’m always amused by a shop with a sense of humor, and this shop had one of the funniest names I’d seen, so I eagerly made my way to the shop to see this so-called foggy gorilla. I immediately loved the exterior of the place, full of bright and bold colors like royal purple, ebony black, and bright yellow. The interior was even more incredible than the outside, with a huge vaping gorilla mural on one wall and an entire wall of e-liquids on another. A well-worn leather was in one corner, offering customers a place to relax and enjoy their purchases or simply hang out. There were two glass cases that housed their vaping hardware, showcasing heavy hitters like Smok, Aspire, Wismec, and Sigelei. There was a large selection of starter kits, assorted tanks and mods, and battery chargers for both the beginner and advanced vaper. Their e-liquid rack was what I was most interested in, as I saw some of my favorite brands like Keep It 100, Chill eLiquid, Twist eLiquids, and One Hit Wonder. They also had a huge selection of brands I’d never heard of, with brands like Twelve Monkey, Nasty Juice, and Khaos eLiquid. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, offering to sign me up for their rewards program and asking if there was anything in particular I was looking for. Their prices were affordable and with the reward program, it was very easy to see why many of Alberta’s vapers frequent this shop. There was even a sample setup that was easily within reach of the customers, allowing you to try flavors before you buy them. Overall, this was a fantastic shop and in addition to the artwork and excellent selection, the atmosphere was very calming, welcoming, and made me sorrowful to have to leave. Come for the products and stay for the ambiance; you won’t be disappointed!
4. Planet of the Vapes
The second vape shop that I stopped in was Planet of the Vapes. Google rates them a 4.6 out of over 260 reviews. And no there wasn’t a monkey-theme going on; just happened to have to primate and pop culture references with the same city! When I first walked through the doors, I was immediately happy with how the shop was set up. This shop definitely had a space-theme going on, adding a bit of intergalactic humor to the world of cloud chasing. There were several long leather couches placed around a table with various vaping magazines, showcasing the next best things in the wonderful world of cloud chasing. Their hardware was tightly packed into a glass case, displaying the various tanks and starter kits available to new and experienced vapers alike. Brands like ASpire, Smok, Wismec, and JoyTech were crammed several boxes high, allowing the customer to buy more than one if so desired. There were also quite a few hardware rands I didn’t recognize but were priced similarly to the more well-known hardware brands. My favorite part of the shop though was the e-liquid display. Hundreds of brands, such as heavy hitters Ruthless, Juice Roll-Upz, Naked 100, Dinner Lady, Reds Apple eJuice, Milk Box, and Melon Twist, were neatly lined up on the tall e-liquid shelves. There were several brands I’d never heard of as well, such as Dr. Fogs Famous Ice Cream, The Juice Punk, Five Monkeys eJuice, and Pastry Boy. The staff was super friendly and outgoing, asking me if there was anything in particular I was looking for. I asked to sample some of the brands I was curious about, and after a quick ID check, they let me try out as many e-liquids as my vape taste buds could handle! The prices were affordable as well, which was dangerous for my wallet and oh so delightful for my vape tank! Overall, I enjoyed the vibe and the pleasant atmosphere of this shop. It was fascinating to see so many new brands, even though I’d simply entered a different province. From the chill lounge area to the availability to try new e-liquids, I was thrilled to have stumbled across this awesome vape shop!
Next in my journey throughout the provinces of Canada was the famous British Columbia. British Columbia is known for being the most westerly and third largest province, making it quadruple the size of Great Britain. British Columbia is known for its mild climate and delicious berries, namely the cranberries and blueberries. Finally, BC hosts the world record of the largest hockey stick, about 40 times larger than an average one! I was fascinated to see the 62.5 meters long hockey stick, and although I knew Canada loves their hockey, this was truly a sight to behold. Aside from the sightseeing and delightful climate, I stopped in at two vape shops to see how they compared to Alberta’s and Quebec’s vape shops.
5. Lucky 8 Vapes
First up, I stopped in at Lucky 8 Vapes. Google rates them a 4.6 out of just over 160 reviews. For some reason, this shop made me think of that fortune telling eight-ball toy, and with a smile on my lips and curiosity in my heart, I stepped through the doors to see what luck was inside this shop. I was immediately floored by the spacious yet sheer volume of all the products this shop carried. The e-liquid racks were packed with e-liquid, ranging from my favorite brands of Naked 100, Dinner Lady, Red’s Apple eJuice, and Chill eLiquids. So many other brands caught my eye, like Twelve Monkeys eJuice, Drakon Vapor, Level Up eLiquid, Lab Sauce, Kings Cream, and Charged eJuice. Their hardware was neatly displayed behind a glass case, seeming a little sparse, but carrying expensive setups from Smok, Uwell, and Sigelei that produce large clouds and have great mod features. They also had nic-salt pods, single battery and pen-style mods, atomizers, battery chargers, and assorted tanks of every size and color. The staff was attentive and courteous to all of their customers, and even though I wasn’t the only one in the shop, I was asked if I needed anything and treated as if it was just me there. They offered to let me try several of their e-liquids that I was curious about and even offered suggestions on what my vape palate preference was. The shop was teeming with good deals and happy customers, ready to satisfy your cravings for something flavorful and high in cloud production. This was an awesome shop that I highly recommend and only wish I had more time to spend in. Check them out if you ever have a chance to stop by!
6. BC Vapor
The second vape shop that I stopped in was called BC Vapor. Google rates them a 4.6 out of nearly 175 reviews. The first thing I noticed about this shop when I walked through the doors was that this shop was serious about e-liquids in stock. Two walls were fully stocked with juices, both in glass cases and neatly displayed on the shelves. Brands I’d never heard of like Fog All-Stars, Illusions Vapor, and T Daawg Labs neatly lined the shelves, while familiar favorites like Candy King, Jam Monster, Naked 100, The Custard Shoppe, and Dinner Lady were welcome sights for my traveling eyes. But after browsing around for a while, I realized this was actually one of the first smoke shops I’d visited in Canada. They had glassware, bongs, vaporizers/herbalizers, rolling papers, and grinders, things you don’t typically see in traditional vape shops. I was also pleased to learn that this shop had an online vape store, allowing vapers to search for their favorite product from the convenience of their phone or computer. This was also helpful for those who were looking for a specific e-liquid in a preferred nicotine level and weren’t able to find it in-store. The hardware was carefully guarded behind thick glass cases, while a dartboard on the far end of the shop invited customers to try their luck at a discount for simply entering in their email address for the shops e-mailing list. The shop was a bit narrow, but not at as small as some shops tend to be. There were several TVs mounted on the walls, letting customers know the various prices and offerings throughout the shop. The staff was friendly and chatty, making sure that I felt comfortable and satisfied with my browsing experience. While I wasn’t able to sample any of the juice (being that it was a smoke shop, not just a vape shop), the prices were reasonable enough that I felt comfortable buying a bottle that looked enticing enough, and the rewards program would allow you to spend your money while earning towards a freebie. This was a great shop that I wasn’t expecting to like as much as I did. Definitely check it out if you’re ever in the BC area and are looking for a great vaping experience!
We’re nearly there! The second to last province I stopped in was Nova Scotia. This particular province is known for its lobsters, apples, blueberries, and high tides. These high tides result in a mysteriously high rate of shipwrecks, mostly near Sable Island. There are quite a few things to do in Nova Scotia that only available in this province, so if you’re looking for a unique road trip and exciting adventure. From dining on the ocean floor to excavating dinosaurs, to historical adventures, Nova Scotia delivers a truly magical experience. Aside from the fun adventures you can have, there are two vape shops were cloud chasers can stop in and refuel for vape juice, accessories, hardware, and great company.
7. The Foggy Coil Vape Shop
The first vape shop I stopped in during my trek through Nova Scotia was called The Foggy Coil Vape Shop. Google rates them a 4.8 out of just over 90 reviews. I love a shop with a witty name, so I decided to make this my first shop to check out. Immediately when I went inside, I noticed that the shop felt a bit cramped. The orange walls were too loud for my preference, especially when the other walls and floor were neutral gray colors. The lighting was fluorescent and while the shop was clean, I definitely didn’t get a cozy stay-a-while vibe. I began scanning the shelves for familiar brands, but I realized that this shop only sold in-house brands that were all sealed, making it impossible to sample before you buy. The guy behind the counter greeted me kindly and asked if I had any questions. He also offered to sign me up for their rewards program, but since I couldn’t try any of the e-liquids, I didn’t feel confident making a purchase. There were several Smok and Sigelei mods behind the glass counter, as well as battery chargers, atomizers, and starter kits, but it seemed like something to do as more of a last minute emergency purchase. There were two computer screens that listed their e-liquids and flavorings, but I’m always a bit wary of in-house juices that aren’t available for sampling, so while I scanned the screens briefly to see if there was anything I liked, I ended up just browsing. There wasn’t a place to sit, as the shop was so small it wouldn’t be able to fit a couch or set of chairs. I ended up leaving with a bit of disappointment in my heart, as I had hoped to find something more cheerful about the shop than just the orange paint on the walls. If you happen to prefer house made e-liquids over brand names, this might very well be your vape shop to check out if you’re in the Nova Scotia area. As for me, I wasn’t really feeling the vibe or products available and decided that while the ratings were indeed high, it just wasn’t the right shop for me. I happened to see that they have a website for those traveling vapers who are craving their favorite e-liquid, so if you happen to live in the Nova Scotia area but aren’t able to get out to try the in-house juices in the shop, check out the website and see what flavors tickle your fancy!
8. Mr. Clouds Vape Shop
Next, I stopped in at a shop called Mr. Clouds Vape Shop. There are several of these chain vape shops around, but the one I stopped in had a Google rating of 4.6 out of just over 50 reviews. The entrance was a side door that looked like the entrance to a garage, but it looked fun and inviting, so I walked through the single door and took in the interior of the shop. The walls were painted a bright yellow, while the floor was a plain light woodgrain design. There was a huge vape e-liquid shelf built right into the wall, showcasing only four lesser-known e-liquid brands: Bomb! eLiquids, Mr. Clouds, Elektro, and Snax. I was surprised that this shop only carried these four brands and asked the staff why there was such a small amount of unfamiliar brands. I was told that it was to increase awareness both in a shop and online since most of the big name brands are “popular yet boring,” they wanted to create a product line that was geared towards a unique vaping experience. While the brand names weren’t exactly in-house and made in the actual shop, they dealt with their own manufacturing, thus selling their own brands of e-liquids. Definitely a unique experience that I wasn’t expecting. I was able to sample several of the Bomb eLiquids and was delighted to find that the lineup was very tasty. There were also several hardware pieces kept in a glass case that also served as the countertop. I saw several dual and quad battery chargers, in addition to the popular Smok tanks and Sigelei mods and starter kits. There were also several assorted replacement coils kept behind the counter, ready and waiting to delight the user with fresh and clean clouds. All in all, this was a pretty cool shop. I’m a little wary of trying in-house e-liquids, but these flavors were premium and had a big-name brand feel to it, thanks to the professional packaging and high-quality taste. If you’re looking for a shop that carries a different idea of what a vape shop should be and are looking to expand your vape preferences into new up and coming brands, definitely check out this vape shop; you might be surprised with how much you like it. I know I was!
Lastly, we have the great province of Ontario. Most people are familiar with this province because of the magnificent Niagara Falls, which is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world. Ontario also houses four of the five Great Lakes and is home to beautiful forests and other parks. Lastly, the capital city of Ontario is Toronto, which is Canada's the largest and most populous city, whose six million population makes it Canada’s primary economic hub.
9. Savour the Vapour
I had the pleasure of visiting two vape shops in Ontario, the first one called Savour the Vapour. Google rates this shop a 4.9 out of 256 reviews. As soon as I walked through the doors, I knew this was going to be an awesome experience. The ceiling was red, the walls were white, the accents were black, and the whole place had a very modern feel to it. There were several brand new leather seats lined up against a wall, facing the counters. The lights were set in overhanging lamps that gave a soft and warm glow to the entire shop. And the e-liquid, ahhh the e-liquid! Several tall shelves were simply stuffed with all sorts of flavors and brands, including brands like BLVK Unicorn, 7 Daze, Skweezed, and Vapetasia. Unfamiliar brands caught my eye as well, including Twelve Monkeys, Brewhouse, and Drip Social. Several sample tanks were laid out for the curious vaper, ready to delight the vape taste buds of all who were brave enough to ask. Two large flatscreen TVs displayed all of the available e-liquids, as well as a brief description of each e-juice. A large variety of Smok coils were neatly hung on display racks, offering fresh coils to those who were in desperate need of flavor-packed clouds. And finally, the hardware was tightly stuffed into organized sections, offering brands like Smoke, Aspire, and Wismec to beginner and advanced vaper alike. There were battery chargers, tanks, starter kits, and batteries readily available to those who were in need of an upgraded or replacement equipment. The staff was upbeat and cheerful, happy to assist me with my questions and curiosities. I was very happy to have found such a great place and found myself savoring the company of the staff as well as the vapor that filled the shop. If you happen to pass through Ontario, please make it a point to check out this shop. They even have a rewards system that encourages repeat visits, as well as great prices that make it easy to rack up points with how frequently you’ll be stopping in. Don’t believe me? All the more reason to stop in and see for yourself what a fantastic vape shop this is!
10. Vape Vine
Second, I stopped in at Vape Vine. Google rates them a 4.6 out of just over 250 reviews. I was amused at the play on words of “grapevine” and decided this would be a smashingly good way of ending my trip through the vape shops of Canada. The entire entrance is entirely made up of glass, making it easy to look right in and see if the shop is crowded or full of clouds. Several hard stools were lined up near the bar, and a highly detailed portrait of two sexy biker chicks adorned the entire left wall. Behind the bar were several flatscreen TVs that displayed all the various products that this shop sold. I immediately spied brands like Twist eLiquids, Yogi, The One, and Vapetasia were out on display, as well as brands like Ripe Vape eLiquids, Sir Preston’s eJuice, Twelve Monkeys, and Five Pawns, brands that are more popular in Canada than the U.S. There were also quite a few nic-salt e-liquids as well as pod refills for Juuls and the like. The hardware was very sparse and I didn’t see a lot of options available but was told there was a website that had nearly everything my cloud chasing habits would need. The staff was very kind and friendly, making sure that I was able to try certain e-liquids and try out the hardware that they did have. Overall, I enjoyed my visit here and was sorry to leave. If you’re looking for a vape shop that has great variety, great prices, and a great atmosphere, definitely check out this vape shop and let me know what you think!
And that’s it! Ten beautiful vape shops throughout the beautiful country of Canada. Of course, Canada has much more than ten vape shops, but these were the top two in each province. If you have a chance to stop in at any of these vape shops or happen to find an even better one than the ten I’ve mentioned, let me know in the comments below! Canada undoubtedly has much more to offer than just vape shops and scenery, but time is never a friend to a traveling vaper. I would have (and could have!) spent days wandering around vape shops that are scattered throughout Canada, but there wouldn’t be enough time nor paper to document each one of my visits. If you stop in at a vape that isn’t on this list and would like to share your experiences, please don’t hesitate to drop a comment and let us know all about it! Until next time, my fellow cloud chasers, where we stop in at a new country and explore the various vape shops there. As always, vape happy, my friends, and may your clouds always be puffy and full of flavor!
