Our next vape shop destination happens to be THE largest city in the entire US, covering an insane 840 square miles and is named after the seventh President of the United States. You guessed it....Jacksonville Florida! In addition to being full of rich history and cultural elements, Jacksonville is also home to over 950,000 residents, with over 34k documented vapers. With so many cloud chasers in one city, it’s no wonder that vape shops have swept the city like wildfire in the race to satisfy all the needs a vaper has. While I wish I had enough time to explore every one, here’s six vape shops that I had the pleasure to visit.
1. Blackhat Vapor
First up in our hunt for Jacksonville vape shops is Blackhat Vapor. Google rates them a 4.8 out of over 230 reviews. It’s always encouraging to see that many reviews and a high rating in spite of that, plus the name was enigmatically enchanting, so I headed over to see what this shop was like. The outside of the shop was very retro, almost like something you’d see in the days of the covered wagons, saloons, and gun showdowns. The first thing I noticed when I walked into the shop was the extremely earthy tones, with light colored wood making up several shelves, while the walls were a calming slate grey. A few metal bar stools were lined up near the counter for quick purchases, while a set of comfy looking chairs were set near the window, offering a bit of relaxation to weary vapers. Several TVs were placed above shelves that displayed hardware, right out in the open instead of tucked behind a glass case. A few pop art pictures were strewn Everything was neatly organized and clearly labeled, with several recognizable brands like Jam Monster ad Vape Breakfast Classics. This shop also does in-house mixing, and their house-favorites were chalk-drawn on a clean blackboard, with funny names like Bunny Felon and Patty Wagon. The shop staff were super friendly and offered to sign up for a rewards program. Since I was only going to be in town for a few days, I regretfully declined but thanked them for their courtesy. Their prices were decent, with housemade juices costing a bit more than the premium brands, but I like to experience a vape juice that I won’t ever find in a different state (or sometimes city!). I sampled a flavor called Grow A Pear and ended up leaving with it! Altogether, this was a fantastic shop to start out my local vape shop guide, and I highly recommend to anyone in the area. Some people even travel over an hour to come here, so that should tell you that prices, customer service, and quality products are a top priority when it comes to this shop. 4.8 is definitely accurate and I encourage everyone to check out this shop if you’re in the Jax area!
2. Vape & Lounge
Next in our local Jacksonville vape shops is Vape & Lounge. Google rates them a 4.8 out of nearly 240 reviews. Again, it’s always a good sign when a business has multiple positive reviews that leave them with a high rating. I love vape lounges, so I eagerly made my way over to the shop. This shop had a very modern look, with white floors and white wood on the walls. The counters and shelves were a clean freshly painted black, and the hardware was in spotless glass cases. I loved how elegant the e-liquid shelves were, with all of the e-liquid pushed to the front and everything clearly visible from the front counter’s metal bar stools. They had a great lounge area, with plush leather chairs and an ox-blood red couch surrounding a large flatscreen TV. The entire area was brightly light and they even had a huge pool table! I wasted no time making way to the front, where I saw firsthand what brands they carried. They had several strange ones I’d never heard of, like White Lightning, Virginia Light, and several appetite suppressant e-liquids. On the downside, I wasn’t able to sample any of the e-liquids, which is something that’s important to me since I’m picky when it comes to anything I haven’t seen before. But the staff were very friendly with helpful recommendations on what they’d tried and preferred. Their hardware selection was pretty impressive as well, offering all of the heavy hitters from Smok, Wismec, and Sigelei. From starter setups to nic-salt pod devices, this shop was very well-stocked in the hardware department, offering a wide range of colors and battery options. While I didn’t purchase anything from here, it was definitely a spot I’d like to just browse around and enjoy the pool table/lounge area.
3. New Leaf Vapor Co
Third in our list for vape shops in Jacksonville is New Leaf Vapor Co. Google rates them a 4.7 out of nearly 180 reviews. I loved the insinuation of turning over a new leaf to start vaping as a smoking cessation aid, so I headed over to check it out! The shop’s decor almost made me feel like I had stepped into a bee-hive, with all of the e-liquid square shelves and honey-colored tones. The wood tones were warm and inviting, and the shop almost had the feel of a converted coffee shop with how open and spacious everything was. The shop was lit up with soft lights and white interior decorations, with low hanging lamps from intricate chains. There were tons of seating options, from bar stools near the counter to lightweight aluminum chairs near a wooden counter, and comfortable looking leather couches near the rear, perfectly set up for a friendly game of chess. They didn’t have that great a selection of hardware, but since I usually buy my mods and coils online (in-store is ridiculously expensive), I wasn’t daunted by this. The staff were very friendly and let me try several of their e-liquids I hadn’t heard of (80 Days, Frio, and CBDistillery). I’m not a fan of CBD oils, but this one was pretty good, with a light grape flavor that I could definitely get used to. One thing I really didn’t like was the prices; very high, and although I get that some more expensive looking shops charge more for the experience and excellent service, I just couldn’t get behind such a price difference. If you’re looking for a place to hang out (they have gorgeous restrooms) or sample new flavors, this would be a good place to visit, but definitely not make a habit of because you’ll end up spending more than at other shops. I’m told there’s a chain of these throughout Florida, but since I didn’t have time to visit everyone and I’ll have to just rate this one as I see it. If you have a chance to visit the other ones, let me know if there is a difference from my experience here!
4. First Coast Vapors
We’re halfway done! Fourthly in our local vape shop guide is First Coast Vapors. Google rates them a 4.7 out of 40 reviews. The reviews were a bit lower than some of the other shops I’d been to, but I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to stop into a highly reviewed vape shop. The first thing I noticed about the shop was the absolute explosion of colorful e-liquid brands. From Pachamama to The One, to Aqua, and Bad Drip Labs, this shop loved to carry high-end brands that are quickly recognized and deeply loved. They also advertised that if they didn’t have a nic level you prefer, they’d be happy to mix it for you on the spot. Their hardware and accessories took up several shelf spots and glass counter space, giving the shop a very crowded look, but in a good way! There weren’t any stools or chairs to relax in after you’d made your purchase, so this is definitely more of a quick stop for coils (they carried several brands including Smok and Aspire), batteries (which they have a large range of), and of course, e-liquid. I loved this shop just for being able to recognize so many of my favorites, and the staff shared in my enthusiasm and friendliness. The interior looked a lot like a converted computer/electronics store, with the carpeted floors and plain interior. But if you’re looking for a great place to stop and refuel, this shop is perfect for just that. They do mix e-liquids in-house and have great prices compared to other shops I’ve been to, so I can honestly say I really enjoyed my visit here. This shop just goes to show you that even though there might not be a lot of reviews and still a high rating, it’s still worth checking out. You might just be surprised...I know I was!
5. Axis Vape Shop
Fifth, we have Axis Vape Shop in our trek through local Jacksonville vape shops. Google rates this shop a 4.6 out of nearly 80 reviews, and since I like science, I figured I’d check out this shop to see what they offered for cloud chasers in the Jacksonville area. When I entered through the shop door, I noticed that although the interior decor was a little outdated (maybe they were going for a more retro interior design?), the shop made the best use of its space. A large red leather loveseat was positioned right by the door, allowing customers to hang out after they’d made their purchases. A pool table was located in the far rear of the shop, offering a friendly game to those looking to kill time. Their juice offerings were of the popular type, with fan favorites like Lemon Twist, Vapetasia, Candy King, and Jam Monster. Their hardware consisted of Smok and Wismec brands, as well as ASpire and Smok atomizers to ensure vapers had fresh and flavorful clouds. I liked that this shop also sold battery chargers, which is something that can come in handy if you find yourself needing charged batteries every day and need a spare. There were several comfy looking bar stools lined up near the bar counter, allowing customers to check out the brands and sample various flavors. And finally, their prices were reasonable and their customer service was friendly. I enjoyed my visit here and loved being in an environment where so many customers were smiling and laughing. Highly recommend spending some time here for a vape stock-up or just to hang out.
6. All Day Vape
And last but not least, we have All Day Vape as our final Jacksonville vape shop. Google rates them a 4.7 out of nearly 470 reviews, and I love seeing high ratings with a high number of reviews. Saving the best for last, I headed over to see how this vape shop compared to the rest of Jacksonville’s vape shops that I’d visited. I fell in love with this place the second I walked in, drinking in the dark blue walls and dark wood floors. I instantly felt relaxed and couldn’t help but smile and the sheer volume of blue things in the shop! Blue walls, blue couches, and blue accents. The walls and counters were a freshly painted white, with fully stocked counters displaying what seemed like hundreds of brands. Charlie’s Chalk Dust, Bazooka, Beard Vape Co., Chubby Bubble Vapes, and Taffy King were among the huge e-liquid collection that took up an entire wall. The other wall had neatly displayed accessories including coils and cotton, while a clean white glass counter housed various pen-style mods and starter kits. Everyone in the shop was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this shop for just a day of relaxation, juice refills, or emergency coil replacement. The decor makes you want to go swimming in a deep blue pool and the whole place is so clean. True to its name, I wanted to spend all day in the shop to vape and enjoy the company. If you get a chance to stop by in person, you’ll see what I mean and you’ll be an all-day vaper in this shop too!
And there you have it! Six stunning vape shops that varied in design and offerings, but carried that same love for clouds that is so dear to every vaper. While I’m sure there are vape shops that I’ve missed, these were the ones I had the chance (and time!) to visit. I hope if you have a chance to visit one or all of these shops, your experience will be the same or even better than mine. If you know of one that I’ve missed, drop a comment below and I’d love to check it out! If you think you’ll be heading to Jacksonville in the near future, let me know how your vape shop experience was. I always love to hear from my fellow vapers. And on that note, farewell my dear readers, and until we meet again in the next life when we’re cats! (Yes, that’s a movie quote). Vape happy my friends and may your clouds always be puffy and full of flavor!
