The city of Angels in California is undoubtedly one of the most popular vacation spots in the world, thanks to the warm breezy climate and bustling city, and of course, Hollywood! In addition to being a popular city to “be discovered” for acting, singing, dancing, and other entertainment careers, Los Angeles has a huge population of vapers. Amidst their bustling city, it’s estimated that out of out of L.A.’s nearly four million population, 143,991 people proudly claim vaping status. That’s quite a lot of cloud chasers! Second only to New York City (which has an estimated 310,417 vapers out of an 8.6 million population), Los Angeles has seen a slew of vape shops pop up, all of which are delighted to make your acquaintance and assist you with all of your vaping needs. While we can’t cover them all, we can certainly name a few that caught our attention! If you’re in the area and you’ve been to one of these shops or have put it on your to-do list, let this local vape shop guide be the perfect incentive to get your exploring the beautiful California City of Angels!
1. The Vape Shop
First up on our list of local L.A. vaping shops is The Vape Shop. I absolutely love this name, because it’s so basic and easy to remember. How many times have you typed in “vape shops near me” into Google? Well now, this one is sure to catch your eye not only for its smart name but also for the dreamy atmosphere inside. The interior looks like a wickedly cool basement to hang out and make new friends, thanks to the dark wood floor, bright red and white walls, and a brick overlay where the hardware is. This place is super clean and inviting, with hundreds of e-liquids in stock for your enjoyment. One of my pet peeves in vape shops is walking in and being disappointed with the dismal e-liquid options. The Vape Shop smashed that stereotype into tiny little pieces, dedicating not just one but TWO walls to stocking e-liquids. There’s even a mixing station where you can try out your own flavors! Bar stools are neatly lined up next to the impeccably white countertops, inviting fellow vapers to relax and enjoy themselves while they eye their possible next favorite e-liquid! My favorite e-liquid from this spot was a delicious mango flavor called Mango by NKTR Vapor, which surprised me because sometimes mango flavors are too thin and make me think that my coil is burnt. The staff was also super courteous and on point with every single one of my questions. I felt like I was a long lost friend whom they had been looking for. Super sweet, super knowledgeable, and super professional, If you happen to live or visit this section of L.A., definitely make the trip in here and see for yourself how awesome this place really is! Google rated this shop a 4.8, and once you walk through the doors, you’ll definitely realize why!
2. The Vapor Spot
Second on the list of vape shops local to Los Angeles is The Vapor Spot. Google rates this spot a 4.7, so I was curious to see how it was. As I walked in, I was struck by just how much orange there was in this shop. I felt like I had walked into an orange sherbet wonderland! They had a really cool display case that took up an entire wall behind the counter. They had a few hardware options as well, mostly Smok (which was cool since Smok’s official colors are orange and black), and those were kept in clean glass cases on the opposite side of the ejuice. The staff there was super friendly and looked like they enjoyed being there. There were quite a few options for the Snap ejuices (Snapple eliquid flavors), so I selected the Kiwi Strawberry one since that’s my favorite Snapple drink. They also had a really cool blacklight effect on when I came in, which reflected super nicely off of the orange walls. The glass desks were shaped like half moons, and the white bar stools were super comfy. This was a great place to visit at night since it gave off an almost club-vibe with the black lights and filmy vapor. My only complaint was that I wish that they didn’t carry so much Snap products since it took up a good portion of their shelf space, but other than that, this was an excellent spot to drop in for any last minute vaping needs.
3. V for Vapor
Thirdly on our recommendations for local L.A. vape shops is the cunningly named V for Vapor. I was amused by this name because I immediately thought of the movie V for Vendetta and wondered how such a comparison of movies could possibly compete with a vape shop. I walked inside and noticed that there was a menu, much like the ones you’d see at trendy bars. I realized this was yet another vape shop that does custom mixing! There’s also a huge chrome V in the corner, which was a cool touch for a vape shop. There are several comfy looking leather couches that seem to be inviting you to hang out and stay awhile. The marble countertops showcased the professional mixing area, and it almost felt like I was ordering a fancy cocktail! Next to the marble countertop was a wooden and glass case where they displayed their hardware, and behind that was several shelves of e-liquid to browse through. The whole shop felt like a mix between a man cave and a bar, very relaxed and inviting. One thing I was very curious about was their CBD sign; when I asked about it, the man behind the counter explained to me that many customers came in for herbal e-liquids, such as pain relievers and mild anxiety relief. While I didn’t try any of them, I agreed with the guy that vaping is already a very relaxing habit, and with the addition of an herbal element, CBD would be a godsend for some vapers. The only downfall is that they use a lot of Aspire hardware; I prefer Smok brands, but I understand that each shop has their preference. All in all, the whole shop is very warm and inviting; they definitely deserve their 4.9 Google rating!
4. The Vapor Shop - Vape Bar and Vape Lounge
We’re nearly halfway through our list! Fourthly on our list of stunning local vape shops is the The Vapor Shop - Vape Bar and Vape Lounge. I love places that advertise as a bar/lounge because it sounds inviting and relaxing as if they welcome people to stay longer and enjoy the foggy atmosphere. That’s exactly what this place is...a cloudy oasis in the vast desert of the City of Angels! Google gives this place a 4.4 rating, which isn’t terrible considering they’ve got nearly a hundred reviews. When I walked into this place, I was struck by the whole “bar” atmosphere, where people sit on barstools against a black countertop and admire the three long black shelves stuffed with e-liquid while conversing with the staff. The staff were knowledgeable and attentive, much like a bartender at a local pub. I loved that they have Candy King here, as Peach Rings and Batch are my two favorite flavors from that lineup, and the 100mL bottles last me a long time. I was also surprised to discover they had Naked 100 Ice here, as most shops only carry Naked 100’s more popular flavors. I didn’t see a lot of hardware besides a few mods and tanks, but since this is advertised as more of a bar and lounge, it makes sense that they’d focus more on e-liquids. Only downside? This vape shop is located in a tight parking lot area, so proceed with caution if you’re driving there!
5. Vape and Smoke Shop
Number five on our list of local L.A. vape shops is Vape and Smoke Shop. Now sometimes I’m a little wary of entering shops that have the words “smoke shop” in their title because I’m expecting a cheap variety of e-liquids, no hardware, and mostly cigars and cigarette in their shop. You can imagine my surprise when I walked through the doors and was shocked to see the sheer volume of vaping, smoking, CBD, hookah, and other cloud-related products that met my eyes. I felt like I’d died on gone to cloud heaven! This shop was stuffed to capacity of everything you could think of: shelves of intricate and colorful bongs, an entire wall of vaping e-liquid, CBD products, and edibles, as well as a long display rack of cigarettes and cigars. Google rates them a 4.1, which it seems accurate since it’s both a smoke shop and a vape shop; you’re going to have a mixed clientele base looking for different things, and they can’t possibly have everything for every customer, although judging from the stock inside, they certainly try!
6. Doux Vape
Closer and closer to the end is near! Number six on list is here, and goes by the name of Doux Vape. In French, “doux” means soft, and if there was ever a way to describe clouds, it would be just that! The dark gray walls and wood floor had a homey look to it, and the whole place is clean and attractive. The shelves on the back wall are stuffed with e-liquid, while the glass cases are filled with the latest hardware. This shop prices were reasonable and I even found some of my favorite Kilo flavors here (Birthday Cake and Apple Pie are my top two favorites). I was a bit concerned with the 4.2 rating that they have on Google, with the main concern being customer service. However, when I walk into a vape shop, it’s usually not because I need help, but because I like to browse their e-liquid selections. I almost never buy any hardware or coils unless I’m traveling and desperately need a coil. The staff were friendly and polite, but I found myself wishing there was more to do. Some shops have TVs and pool tables, but this one seemed to be more of a quick stop to fill up instead of a popular hangout place. However, in a jam, this shop easily met my vaping needs.
7. Vapor Delight
Number seven (last but definitely not least!) is Vapor Delight. It’s a good thing that delight is in the vape shop’s name because that’s the best way to describe how I felt when I walked through the doors. The bright pastel colors made me feel like I’d found unicorn heaven, with the soft whites and the calming blue, green, and pink lights surrounding the shop. The white barstools were clean and soft, and the white walls allowed the lights to bounce gently off in relaxing hues. Some vape shops focus on a more dark and earthy type of vibe, but this light and bubbly take on a vape shop was something that I definitely appreciated. The hardware cases were different too. Instead of being displayed in a single cabinet with the glass facing front, there were several different small cabinets with the glass on top as well as against the wall, so you could stand next to it and look down to see what was in it. This shop definitely seemed to focus more on the expensive hardware instead of stocking up on ejuice, which is an unusual move, but the hardware was so prettily displayed, I nearly bought one myself just for the heck of it! Google rates this shop a 4.4, but it’s by far one of the most beautiful shops I’ve ever been in.
And there you have it! Seven is our lucky number of vape shops that we think you’ll find charming and well-worth your visit! Vape shops have a great vibe for the most part and are a great way to meet new vaper friends, hang out, and enjoy the atmosphere. I found several ejuices that I usually find online, so it was nice to know that if I ever ran out of one of my favorite flavors, I could easily find it in one of these shops. Los Angeles has an excellent variety of vape shops, with a vast amount of both e-liquid and hardware in every store. If you have any other shops you think would be good on this list, let us know in the comments or shoot us an email! We’re always on the lookout for the next best vape shop and would love to hear from you!
